Panthera Tigris Amur, 2026
The Amur tiger advances directly towards the viewer, occupying the centre of the composition with a serene, monumental presence. Its gaze creates a direct, non-threatening encounter, in which the animal’s strength coexists with a certain vulnerability.
The tennis court introduces a geometric, ordered, constructed space that contrasts with the tiger’s instinctive nature. Beyond it, mountains and vegetation evoke its natural habitat, while bands of colour in the sky transform the landscape into an imagined setting, suspended between reality and dream.
The tiger passes through the net as though crossing a threshold. Its advance symbolises inner strength, resilience and the determination to overcome boundaries. The painting creates a dialogue between the wild and the human, nature and the built environment, as well as between fragility and the will to survive.
