Inspired by the landscapes of Lake Como, the work brings together a controlled, geometric space and the silent presence of the panther, where tension and serenity coexist in quiet balance. The Panther and the Tennis Court presents a striking and unexpected encounter between instinct and structure. A black panther advances directly toward the viewer across an immaculate blue tennis court, its gaze unwavering, almost confrontational.
The surrounding landscape draws inspiration from Lake Como in Italy: a still turquoise lake, layered mountains, and a Mediterranean villa framed by cypress trees and lush gardens. The sky, composed of soft horizontal bands of colour, evokes a suspended, timeless atmosphere.
The rigid geometry of the court contrasts with the fluid presence of the animal. The panther—silent, controlled, and powerful—becomes a symbol of inner force moving through a world defined by order and boundaries.
Yet within this contrast, a quiet balance emerges: both worlds coexist in an unexpected state of harmony. There is no narrative resolution, only a charged yet peaceful moment of approach. The viewer is placed directly in its path, invited into a space where tension and serenity exist simultaneously.
